I just heard that there is a new type of high tech chronograph coming out in January at the SHOT Show. Its called LabRadar. As it sounds its works off of Doppler radar and actually tracks your bullets to the target and can give you velocities at virtually any distance from muzzle to target. It works with all projectiles, even arrows. It is not dependant on light conditions or anything else that plagues normal chronographs. Keep watching for their website, Welcome it should be up soon.

Woods are tight here in the Southern Zone in NYS so I stick with a 3-9x40. Have them in Leupold, Nikon, Bushnell, Weaver and Burris. My favorite because of clarity and light gathering is the Nikon Monarch. But, everyone's eyes see differently so you'd have to check it out. My varmint gun is a 4-16x40 Monarch. I target shoot with it on my .243 Rem 700 out to 300 yards. Great scope for the money. They're all good scopes so you really need to check them out for yourself. Hope this helped.
