Being primarily a "Bersa Fan", the first gun I purchased was a BT380 and now five out of my six handguns are made by Bersa, I am always interested in seeing Bersa forums survive and flourish. I have seen the "gun related and/or range reports" threads help stimulate interest" on other forums and have subscribed to them so that I can see any postings. That being said:

Having just completed a short RV trip, I took the time to wipe down the four Bersas I carried with me on the trip. My "one the hip" and "under the pillow" is always a given, but decided to carry the two 9UCs.

I have the weekend off so I went to the Academy and picked up 10 box's of Monarch 380 ammo to replenish my range ammo which was getting low. However tomorrow I will be at the range enjoying shooting my Firestorm 33LR since I still have a whole lot of 22LR ammo. It does not go bang very loud but it sure keeps the eyes sharp besides being fun to shoot.

Firestorm 33LR? Haven't run into an FS 33LR yet. Bet .33 ammo is hard to find, but now I know why you spotted my Firestorm. I guessing that you got struck by the fickle finger of fate finding the wrong key. I'm quite good at doing that myself. I was doing some online window shopping for 9mm 124gr ammo when I spotted your post. Noticed that a lot of the bulk suppliers have gone up roughly a dollar a box over the past two days.

Yes I must have fat fingered 33LR, must be old age creeping up on me, going to have to start running a little faster.
On the Firestorms pistols the trigger guard is difference which gave it away. The Firestorms are also a very good pistols and I have not had any problems with mine.
Hey, while at the Academy locally yesterday they had Monarch 9mm FMJ ammo for $10.99 per box of 50, would have got some two but I have my self quote on 9mm filled and I was looking for a new holster for my Bersa 380.

We have an Academy close by on 1960 and I-69 but haven't checked their ammo stock and prices as I went specifically to find a range bag while I was breaking me in for the CHL. Will check out their supply and prices later this morning.

Sounds like a fun day of firing. I haven't fired my 22lr in well over a couple of years. Have been sitting on what little CCI HP Copper plated 36 grain I had in stock. What brand or brands are you using. Recently found some Armscor 36gr that I want to try, but it's going to be a while before I can get back to the range. Too many honey dos to finish up trying to get settled into the house. Moved int the house the middle of August and still have undone projects. Checked out Academy yesterday and it was a no go. Only 1 brand of 124s available higher than what I can get online even after shipping.

I am going to Cabala's today because they have CCI Blazer 9mm 115gr FMJ ammo for $9.99 box/50. I only carry HP but I use FMJ for range time so I usually get what ever is cheapest. I will head to the range today since the wife wants to try my 9mm and to check if the range has a small 38 revolver she can for rent to check it out, I seem to remember Firestorm having a small 38 revolver however I believe it has been discontinued. I hope to fire my 22LR again for some fun.

That sounds like a good price. Wish there was a Cabela's near here, I think that the nearest one is in Waco. Better stock up while you can. That's what I did earlier this month. I picked up several boxes of Armscor 124 gr at that price early this month, but when I decided to order another batch a few days later, I had to pay 10.95 per box for the 124s.

Other than taking the time to do a routine wipe down of my EDC, nothing but wanting to get done with a couple of projects I'm working on here at the house and go to the local range and sniff some burned gunpowder.

Well I have not been to the range in over a week since I have been getting ready to visit my 84 year old brother in Virginia that is if the air port is clear. Won't be there long only 4 days but I do hope to visit one LGS just to see what they have.
I have changed a lot of my ring tones so as not to get passengers excited while I wait to board my flight. (During the flight my phone is turned off). One ring tone was an AK47 firing non stop, another repeated intruder alert intruder alert plus other loud noises.
It will be strange experience going almost 5 days without my Bersa 380cc close by. I guess I will feel a little naked...

That makes for a good day! I need to take a break from the home projects and take a trip to the local indoor range.

Ok, have you recovered from the withdrawal of being without your 380cc for five days. I know that I felt totally naked for the time frame between having my Nevada CC and getting my Texas CHL. I don't want to go through that again anytime soon. Now, I've got to figure out how to get my Nevada permit renewed as I plan on a continuing visitation over the next few years as my younger brother still lives in Las Vegas.

Yes I made it back without a single person saying that I look naked. I did not even have my trusty knife with me. I have cleaned my Bersa 22 and Bersa 380cc and they are in my range bag with a tub of 22 ammo and 3 box's of PMC 380 FMJ ammo for this coming Saturday. Looking forward to some range time.

In preparation for summer carry, I decided to rotate from the 9UC back to the BT380 for a while. That has meant taking the time to clean and "lube" the mags. When I do a mag clean on the DLX mags. I fully unload them and hit the mags with a strong blast from my compressor, and wipe down/clean each cartridge with a silicon cloth. Using a carpenter's pencil, I depress the follower to the base of the mag and pin it with nail or small diameter punch. I swab the inside of the mag with a previously used bore swab with a very light application of dry Teflon lube, a drop or two. Reinsert the carpenter pencil in the before pulling the nail or punch as a sudden release can damage the mag. I then wipe down the exterior of the mag with an old silicon wipe down.

I have been very busy lately but I did get some time to surf the internet to check out the Firestorm pistol. There have been several post regarding the Firestorm here and since I have never even held one much less fired a Firestorm I checked in to it. I found that Firestorm made a mini Firestorm 9mm and 40mm plus others. I am a 380 & 9mm fan and the Mini Firestorm 9 looked like a great little pistol which was made for concealment. I wonder if it was a forerunner to the BP9cc or the UC9. I Hope to find a Firestorm in one of the Gun shows I visit, they sell mostly new Pistols however there are always a few booths that display older pistols so maybe I will find a Firestorm to check out.
Anyone out there have any more info on the Mini Firestorm 9mm.

For the most part, if you have handled a Bersa in the 380, 9 , 40 or 45, you've handled a Firestorm of the same designation. The primary difference is the Bersa has the combat style trigger guard and the Firestorm has the traditional rounded trigger guard. IIRC there are some minor sight differences. Several years ago I got to fire The FS version of the 45UC. A guy with an FS 45 at the range wanted to fire my 70 YO Colt 1911, so we traded off. I really liked the FS with it's DA/SA functionality, but the Colt, with it's longer barrel, and grip, and heavier overall weight, handled and fired much better for me. Wouldn't mind owning the Bersa version, but I really don't need another safe queen. I could have bought the FS I fired as two weeks latter he sold it to buy a 1911 style. At the time I would have had to sell my Colt to afford it. I've you have a high web or a high grip, the UC45 will bite you if you are not careful. That was the chief complaint voiced by the FS owner. He traded it a couple week

Hi 9UC, thanks on the info. I am just looking for another Pistol that fits me for house protection. I don't have a large number of pistols since I can count them using both my hands with a few fingers left over. I do have a couple I am hoping a dealer will take in trade on a new pistol. I was planning on trading for a Bersa BP9cc but I prefer a pistol that holds more than 8 rounds to keep in the house only. Right now I am leaning toward the Thunder Pro Ultra Compact 9mm since its mag capacity is 13+1 that gives me 6 extra shots before changing mags.
