My lever broke some time ago and I had to use vice grips to turn it. I ordered another one some time ago, then figured out today how to remove the old one and get the new one in there. Then I struggled to get the slide back. The new lever sticks out about 2mm from the frame and I have to push it in hard while rotating it to that position to get it flush with the frame. I still struggle to get the slide on and off though. So I took the new lever back out and compared it to the original and the two holes that engage the spring and bushing are offset slightly. It makes me wonder if I got the wrong part? Or is this fairly common with replacement parts? I'm thinking about using a Dremel to cut a small slot in the old one and just use a screwdriver on it.
