Anyone know the difference and what type of rifle ammo is best for Target practice??

Federal American Eagle has:
A Polymer Tip Remington 223 ammo for $11.99 a box of 20 rounds.
A Remington FMJ ammo on sale for $6.49 a box of 20 rounds.
Other that the cost which would be better ammo for Target practice using iron sights.

You've heard my philosophy on ammo in previous threads. Unless there is no other choice, I stick with name brand brass cased ammo, FMJ for target. In my case I only have one rifle, a 74 year old M1 30 cal carbine and as I'm not willing to pay the high cost of soft points for what little I fire it, so I use either Remington or Armscor USA FMJ rounds.
