Hi boys and girls, new guy here
I was given the above weapon to fix for my step-daughter and after looking it over, I believe it is missing the "outer", external recoil spring. She has no owners manual for it and after racking the slide, I noticed that it felt extremely easy to rack, way too easy in fact. While I`m not 100% sure it has 2 recoil springs, it appears that on a YouTube video there are 2 pictured during a disassembly.
Thus, I went to the Bersa website and found the parts section where an "external" recoil spring was listed for sale. Unfortunately, while attempting to order said recoil spring, I saw that Bersa will not ship to South Carolina! Major bummer! I then went to the other website mentioned by Bersa, Condorflight.com, and they don`t offer recoil springs at all.
OK, now what? Does anyone out there in cyberland have any ideas on how I can obtain one? Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would check with the Bersa repair centers about this part.
Also, join us over at Bersachat.com. There are several people who are very familiar with Bersa repair procedures.

Boy Bersa would not ship to South Carolina, that is worst than a major bummer....
If you can not get the springs you need from Bersa.com try these sites.

I needed some trigger springs and Midwayusa had them. I don't know if they have the spring you need but do check them out.

I have an update here. After looking over various websites like Numrich and Midway, I still couldn`t find the recoil spring. I then called the importer for Bersa, Eagle Imports, and spoke with a rep there. To make a long story short, they will send a replacement recoil spring to me free of charge. It should arrive in 7-10 days.
I have to admit that I`m very impressed with the customer service provided since the recoil spring was lost by my step-daughter through an error of her own and not due to any defect of the weapon. It`s not too often that any manufacturer of any product will give this level of customer service and I just wanted to let everyone know here. Thanks Bersa / Eagle Imports

Some were reloads, FMJ and hollow point. LIked the weapon so much I hate to give it back but of course I`ll do so...after an extensive class on proper weapons handling. I am in the same boat. I just kinked the recoil spring in my Bersa Thunder 380 Plus.It seems so strange that a company won't ship to a certain state. Does anyone know why they won't ship to SC? Dave in SC.

Never heard of a company not shipping to SC, it's a beautiful state. Bersa web site does show a recoil spring for $8.00 p/n TP380A9...
