Ok I've read several of the other feeds about how I'm not suppose to pull the trigger while cleaning. So of course I pulled the trigger. Just above the trigger on the right side where flat bar runs back to the grips has popped out just a little. I have attempted to push it back in while cycling the hammer and trigger but it just won't stay. It is clearly blocking the slide from re-attaching. I've had firearms all my life but this has me stumped.Any suggestions before I send it back for warranty work? Trigger Air gun Gun barrel Gun accessory Wood stain

I really not sure what kind of problem you are having with the slide but from the picture it could be that the drawbar ( the flat bar you described ) is being pushed loose by a roll pin. Remove the grips and if you look above the Drawbar you will see a round circle which is a roll pin, if the pin works loose it can push on the Drawbar causing causing the Drawbar to become loose. Try to push the pin back in carefully and make sure the spring is secured.
check out this link on assembling the bersa.
