Happy New Year to all.


This will be only second time in the past 30 years that we have celebrated the new year back in the great state of Texas. Only once during the many years the wife and I lived in Las Vegas, NV, with all the party action on the Strip and the downtown Fremont Street Experience, did we go out on New Year's Eve, and that was to a local casino. That lasted until about 9pm, got bored, said the heck with all this fun, went home, went to bed, had the fireworks in the local area wake us up long enough to say Happy New year to one another, comfort the scared dogs from the firecracker, and back to sleep.

Boy those little guys you have dancing there are having more fun than I will have tonight since I had a very long 4 days so I plan to go to bed early. Will set my alarm for Midnight to kiss and say Happy New Years to the Wife of 25 Happy New Years.

Yeah, know the feeling. Even though I'm over halfway through the last year of my 60s, I've spent the last two days subdividing the back yard and putting in fencing to create a dog run for the four legged kids. Think I should sleep well tonight.
