How to remove the Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI) (item #7):

Drive the LCI Pin (item #8) from the side of the slide and leave the punch in place after the pin is removed because the LCI is spring loaded.

Place your thumb on the LCI and as you pull the punch out slowly, release the upward pressure of the LCI Spring (item #9).
