Hey Tony, I think videos are nice but, nothing beats training and common sense in any situation.
You are correct in that Training & common sense is important however I am always looking to keep sharp. Going to the range week after week makes me a better shooter but I also want to be a smart shooter.Hey Tony, I think videos are nice but, nothing beats training and common sense in any situation.
Thanks Robhic, I will check it out after I log off and have a cup of coffee. Just got off work.Tony, I got one named "Home Security & Home Defense" from the Armed defense League with a subscription to Concealed Carry magazine (I think...). Not bad but I doubt I would have purchased it if given the opportunity. It was OK and yes, some tips, but nothing earth-shattering. My favorite video is one by Mas Ayoob and is a video of one of his deadly force classes. Now that video is packed with 90+ minutes of information about CC and all kinds of stuff including home defense situations. You can order it from his website Massad ayoob, lethal force institute, ammunition sales, handgun ammunition, tactical gear it is Judicious Use of Deadly Force and you won't be sorry you got that one!
Tony, it is a video of his class live and it is packed with important info regarding legal/illegal actions in different situations. Mas is pretty much recognized as one of the best in the country and his explanations will give you LEGAL actions to take when confronted by different scenarios. Home and away it is great info to have which could prevent legal issues should the worst happen. I watched it every weekend for a month or so when I first got it (about 2 years ago) and the repetition was priceless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Thanks Robhic, I will check it out after I log off and have a cup of coffee. Just got off work. View attachment 390
Hi Robhic, Just got back in time for a ice storm, a real bummer. I checked out the "Judicious Use of Deadly Force" and from the info I read it seems to be geared for the advanced person and not for the average person. It referred to instructors and Police officers so it may be more than I am looking for. Were you able to use the information in the video??Tony, I got one named "Home Security & Home Defense" from the Armed defense League with a subscription to Concealed Carry magazine (I think...). That's odd, I didn't get that impression. The video is him in front of a class of civilians (men & women) and he gives a lesson in legal do's and don't's in many situations both in the home and on the street. It seemed geared towards the average citizen, to me. Like I said he is filmed teaching a class of his "Lethal Force I" level course. I found the info and examples informative and very useful. He doesn't give specifics for each state but general stuff that applies to ALL situations to keep a citizen legal. The in the home portion was especially useful. I HIGHLY recommend it!Hi Robhic, Just got back in time for a ice storm, a real bummer. With Mas being an expert witness in these kinds of cases, I guess I can see this video giving some basics for use in a shooting for a defense lawyer to think about. Instructors, too. But I really don't think you'll be disappointed. I felt it was $$$ well spent. That does sound like what I would like to see, I guess what concerned me was the statement " Ideal for the Instructor and Attorney ". I think I will give it a try come my next payday,
