After nearly four weeks on the road and a visit to the Vietnam Memorial, the AF memorial, and Arlington Cemetery I have returned to my humble abode in Humble, TX. The major highlights, was finally getting to see the Vietnam Memorial, the Korean Memorial to those of the forgotten war and the WWII Memorial. The latter turned out to be the biggest of the highlights. As I was taking a picture of the Bronze Plaque honoring Senator Bob Dole for his contributions to the building the Memorial, my son touched me on the shoulder s said, Dad, isn't that Senator Dole there at the entrance. Sure enough, it was him. Brief chat, and a picture made a lot of hard traveling well worth the effort.
