I'm an old retired guy living in Rhode Island with enough land for daily practice in the back yard. I'm still waiting for my first Bersa Thunder to come to the LGS from their distributor. When I first inquired, there were plenty in stock and two days later, when I placed my order, the cupboard was bare. My friend at the LGS asked what color I wanted and I told him it really didn't matter. I just want the first one in. I've never shot one, but I've heard nothing but rave reviews of this little beauty. The cache' of the Walther PPK name dulled quickly when I realized that I can have two Bersas for the price of one. And, there are features of the Bersa that really make it a better gun. Photos and a range report will follow as soon as I get my hands on it.

PPK/S versa Bersa I carried a Interarms PPK/S for a long tme . I learned to live with the heavy 20lb DA trigger, and fact that after about 30 rounds of Corbon ammo my hand hurt . I spotted a bersa at gun show $200 that was in 2003. Looked like my Walthers but felt better in my hand .Bersa is slighty thicker in grip area. I dry Fired it and couldn't beleive how easy the DA trigger was compaired to my Walthers . I was going next day to shoot for CCW so I took the Bersa . I removed from box loaded the mag and qualified with it . I have fired up to 200 rounds and no pain in my hand like my PPK/S after arounf 30 .
If any failing with Bersa its the finish is some times not as good as should be. But for money you saved over the Walthers you can have slide refinished. If you get a nickle slide do not use #9 to clean. It has Ammonia and will eat the copper thats under the nickle and it will cause nickle to flake off.

Now we know you should clean real good as that gunk is not lube . But To protect pistol while coming by sea..
