Just traded an Eotech 512.A65 for a Bersa Thunder 380 silver with an additional black slide, 50 rounds of jacketed hollow point rounds, extra wood grips, 2 holsters, and 2 magazines....feel it was a pretty good trade =) I am an AK47 kinda guy and had sold my last AR platform weapon and the Eotech sucks on AKs imo versus, say, an Aimpoint micro. Anyways, I am totally looking forward to taking the new bersa out for a spin at the gun range this weekend! saw the bersa on budsgunshop for around $300 and the eotech is around $350 used, and with all the stuff thrown in, ill trade an optic for a gun any day of the week lol

thanks i definitely will =) i cleaned her up nicely after partially taking apart the lower. kind of a pain in the ass taking off that c clip that holds the disconnecter hehe. but got her back together no problems and i think she will make an excellent conceal carry piece. i have been using my glock 23 in an appendix carry holster. i am a large framed guy (6'2" 260 lbs) but the glock was borderline too big for a cc pistol. this bersa i can cup in my hand so i know its gonna be no trouble at all. 380 auto isnt my most desirable defense round, but for the size and ease of conceal carry, its a trade off.

I can feel ya on that, my BT380 Combat shows no print while properly worn. It's a huge step in the right direction over other subcompact pistols. Also, with the improvements made to modern ammunition I wouldn't worry too much about the .380s ability to defend you. At most self defense distances these little pistols are crazy accurate. I tend to stick with either Hornady Critical Defense and Federal HydraShok due to gel test performance in .380. CorBon JHP and all Buffalo Bore HP rounds have also performed well in gel tests. Yeah 9mm is a superior round, but truth be told all research to date has shown much difference in the common pistol calibers from .32-.45 when it comes to defending yourself.
