I have been using my Bersa 22 more lately because I enjoy shooting and have had very good luck with all the different types ammo I have. I finally got down to my CCI Velocitor 22 LR HP ammo and I had quite a few jams. Hope it is not going to be a real problem since I have about 800 rounds of it. Has anyone had any problems with CCI Velocitor ammo in their Bersa 22's or any other type guns.
I am going to clean all my 22 mags since I don't clean them every time I shoot. I do however clean all my weapons after each time I use them.

Thanks

The BT22 mags do need to be kept clean, but you shouldn't have to do that after eery time you shoot.

The Velocitor is a faster 40 grn bullet than the MiniMag and it is also the same size cartridge. The Velocitor has more energy to cycle the slide. As I understand your report, you have been shooting a lot of other ammo for some period of time. It may be that the recoil spring has now weakened enough from this use that the Velocitor is cycling the slide too fast and the timing is off. Try a new recoil spring and see if that solves your problem.

But what has me most curious is that you have 800 ROUNDS of Velocitors!!!!!!

Hi Qwiksdraw, well I have cleaned my 5 Bersa 22 mags and I hope to test them next week since there are less people at the range during the week. As for the 800 rounds of Velocitor ammo, I got them way before the prices of ammo started to go up. I just purchased my ammo when they on sale even though they were already cheap. It has been years since I needed to buy any 22 LR ammo. I still have plenty of Blazer, Federal, CCI Mini Mag, Remington and Winchester 22 LR ammo. What I don't have is a lot of 380 ammo.

I have no problems with Velocitors. Not my usual ammo -too hard to obtain. Rem thunderbolts, blazers, and winch super xxx 1330 FPS cycle thru my bersa 22 just fine. Keep the mags clean. I put a drop of oil on the follower which might be a sacrilege to some.
