break in period on BT .380 in the manual?

I'm having major issues with FTF with my brand new . 380. I really want to like this pistol, but I have never had a quality firearm that refuses to unload a 7 round mag without issues. This thing seems to be fairly well made, but....it don't work right.
Read lots of threads here...FTF is not an unusual problem apparently. One thing I keep seeing is the "manual says 2-300 rounds break in" or some such. I just went thru the manual and I don't see any such language in the manual mine shipped with. Not only that, but that number seems excessive. Maybe its just the "beat it into submission" theory, if it aint workin right !!

Click on FAQ and scroll down about 13 entries to "Recommended ammo during the break in period". Hope this explains it.
