Remington to open new ammo plant in June 2014

I just read that the Remington Company is building a new Ammo manufacturing plant in Lonoki, Arkansas to open in June 2014. The new plant is said to be able to manufacture between 2-3 billion rounds of Ammo per year. I hope this much ammo will make it easier to get ammo and that the prices will go down to a fair price.
Now if only the other Ammo manufacturers would increase their ammo production too, we will be in great shape.

Yes I did mean 2-3 Billion rounds of ammo. That is 60 Million boxs of ammo if they are 50 count boxs from the new plant alone.

The sad part is that -- and it's not THAT sad -- but, IMO, the main production will probably be 38, 9mm, 45. I HOPE 22 and maybe some different flavors in those calibers. THEN they might get around to producing 380, 357 and other less popular calibers. Ya think? I got a bad feeling the market won't be swamped with 380 anytime soon.

You may be right however with the additional ammo I can forego my plans to take my compound bow out of storage and stock up on hunting arrows since there is no shortage of arrows at this time. And if there ever is a shortage of arrows there are plenty of trees and rocks so that I can make my own arrows just like they did a couple of thousand years ago.....Now that is just IMHO...........

Do not worry about it, with my funny looking legs I would never wear a Loincloth.........

I may change my mind about the Loincloth if Obama manages to get the tax on ammo passed into law. I dusted off my compound bow and arrows just in case. My bow will need a complete tuneup and all my arrows need replacing but it will still be cheaper since the arrows can be reused and the bow is powered by my arms. The only real problem is that unlike a Gun, there is no quick draw and there is no chamber to keep an arrow in. I may have to sharpen my tomahawk.....
P.S. The really bad part is that Conceal Carry will be out of the question.
